Hi Brad. For the life of me I will never understand why USGS or any other organization would want to downgrade a quake. There are so many places that have seismographs and people knowing how to read them that there is no way they could get away with doing that. What most people don’t understand is that the automatic solution is just that. Until someone sits down and does the pencil work it is just another quake without a magnitude, or good location. Like the lady says. It isn’t Haines until I say its Haines. It isn’t a quake until a person says it’s a quake. Take Care…Don in creepy town
