You collect and use what ever you find as it may lead to the solving of the crime, or the last major quake with the possibility of finding a clue to next major quake. You never know where it might lead you.

When I was in the Air Force I spent some time in the Durango area. I would take a ride now and then on the narrow gauge railroad to Silverton. The first time I went to Silverton I sat next to the outside window. All I could see in some places was the bottom of the canyon. After that I was content to sit next to the inside window.
