Hi Beth. Thank you. Happy to hear you enjoy my posts. The techniques being used by geologist/seismologist now remind of a crime scene investigation. You collect and use what ever you find as it may lead to the solving of the crime, or the last major quake with the possibility of finding a clue to next major quake. You never know where it might lead you. When I was in the Air Force I spent some time in the Durango area. I would take a ride now and then on the narrow gauge railroad to Silverton. The first time I went to Silverton I sat next to the outside window. All I could see in some places was the bottom of the canyon. After that I was content to sit next to the inside window.
