It looks like possibly two things: A. noise, B. a distant earthquake. If its a distant quake you can look in the daily catalog for a global event which has 00:00 GMT and isolate it.

As for your other problem with identity theft, as every knows it is one the rise and easier than most realize. It is the only reason why I have the name I have today. I changed it in 2001 to prevent ID theft in the future.
