Sometimes it makes you wonder whether agencies such as the USGS should just let people to fend for themselves.

As a lawyer (who is sick of lawyering), I am shocked that there are lawsuits over the Sumatra tsunami warning issue. Like, who's going to sit on the jury? The whole prospect of civil liability is preposterous and a smear upon the human toll that was taken in the course of that tragedy.
