Dennis...there was also a M5.0 just north of Peru-Equador Border. This is about 3 deg from Antipode of the M6.9 in Sumatra that occurred 10 hours later. On the other hand, someone (you?) posted after the M8.7 March Sumatra quake suggesting that Ecuador would start popping off again, and I chimed in more or less agreeing, and nothing happened....nothing on the NEIC page for weeks...

So, if there is a relation, it is not a simple one.....so, what else in new....
