Hi All,

I've heard this question come up so many times after earthquakes where someone asks,"what fault was that." Sometimes there is an easy answer and it comes from the USGS Menlo Park map site link below.

Just above the map there is a link, click. When you arrive at the next map, Select the EQ of choice and once you arrive at the next map you can run your cursor over the faults and a box pops up that tells you the name of the fault. It includes most of well known faults.
