I heard quite a bit in the 10 or 15 years before the earthquake that the 22 year recurrence was just not true...that some of those quakes were not on the San Andreas fault. So, now that it occurred, it is being reported compared to this 22 year cycle.....so I'm curious what seismologist working on this area think now about the past history...

Don...I don't get too much out of your lists of quakes...unless I plotted them or graphed them....which I generally don't. I suppose putting them up does allow those interested to plot/graph/map them as they wish. But, if you are in to it, you could make appropriate graphs or maps (you do this sometimes, or link to them.....)
