Petra...I don't know what to make of that swarm. You might ask Canie.....but Canie may want to demonstrate her idea of a relation between Baja/Gulf of California quakes with a graph or something....it may just seem to be a relation but isn't significant. What is interesting about this swarm is that it is not on just one structure...it is scattered between onshore Baja and near the plate boundary in the Gulf of California. So, are these quakes triggering each other, or is something else triggering them....like some creep on the old inactive subduction zone, or some younger regional detachment fault...By the way...I'd have to pul out some maps etc.....but someone else can look these up and link to them instead...there are some big active strike-slip faults that cut across northern Baja from the main plate boundary into the Borderland....I think the San Clemente fault and San Diego Trough faults are linked that way...the Baja faults that link across are the Agua Blanca and (I think the San Martir???San Martin....can't remember...)
