My 2 cents is the research is flawed in the sense that as Lucy pointed out in the article, a 6.7 isn't much different than a 7.5 if you are on top of it. WHat I wish the researcher would have mentioned is on what frequency he's observed these 6.5 quakes occur, AND since there was no activity there for the 150 years prior to 1971 but 2 since 1971 is there a likely trend there will be an additional one(s) in the next decade...
