I'm sure you and most who follow seismicity patterns know the Triple Junction was rather quiet for awhile and now seems to be coming back to life. It seems to me from observation the area near Petrolia is exhibiting signs of renewed vigor and would be a place which one should keep a watchful eye.

Ferndale, which isn't far from Petrolia suffered heavy damage in the 1992 earthquake, but made a very good recovery. Even houses which are historic and came off of their foundations were lifted back up and saved. But the quake in 1994 was considerably off shore and there was no damage at all, even though the quake was felt as far away as downtown San Francisco where buildings swayed.
