Re: Off Coast of Oregon (more) Chris |
Hi Chris, You guys taught me some well learned lessons last year, which I care to make good use of this year. I'm trying like crazy not to be .3 over or under with my predictions and there's only one way to do that and its to only fix one lower magnitude. Mind you, I don't really like doing that, but hey, its your game and your rules. Now as to selecting areas where there has been recent activity you should keep this thought in mind. Neither you nor anyone else knows when a swarm is over. I had no idea until I heard my Off Shore Oregon ear tone that there was anything left to be had up there, so I'm just as surprised as the rest of you. Regarding South Parkfield/Cholame, I'm hoping my ear tone is for the area where the Cholame Chatters occurred, not in the north end where the epicenter was of the September 28, 2004 quake. So we'll see, but I'm not trying to collect aftershock hits. Also the prior major ear tone I got for Cholame in 2001 was extremely deep and this ear tone is for a not so deep area. Maybe 10 - 15kms. Ok and now a smile for the finish for you Chris. Come on, I know you got in there. With a little counsel with a good friend the other day, she said it was time for me to look for some research funding in some unusual areas and get some venture capital interests who might want to look at instrument development. She's right of course and if I'm going to get there first, I need some help. LOL And part two, I'm going to expand the group hopefully to 15 by the end of the year and kick this project up another notch. You guys are a pip! Petra
