dear petra, the following is a copy of a reply i sent earlier today - to another line of comments regarding your "formula" for ear tone calculation. as i am very new to these kind of sites i still don't know how to best reply - didn't know if i should also send this here so you or anyone else who might have a reply could see it. so here it goes - dear petra your email is music to my ears. i just so happened to go on line and google search "earthquake prediction - ear tones." i couldn't believe there are other people out there like me. i started hearing "tones" in the 80's when i lived in the bay area. my friends used to tease me about being able to predict earthquakes, because i noticed that every time i heard a tone - within 2 weeks there would be a large earthquake somewhere in the world, not to mention the bay area. i called some earthquake scientists - who told me to chart out the tones - but i never did - mostly because i had a hard time trusting myself - i suppose. for the last 10 years i have been living in santa fe, new mexico, and the tones have gotten so accurate with the recent abundance of earthquakes that i can't deny that there is a connection. i can't tell you how good it feels to know there are others out there like me - and that perhaps i can participate in a pool of research - and be of help to people out there in earthquake prone zones. and i am so impressed by your "formula," because i haven't had a way of calculating direction etc. this is brilliant and i'm going to try it. if you or anyone out there could point me to the best groups or websites out there where i can post my data, or be of help in any way, that would be great. i can't tell you what a relief this is. thank you so much. nina
