Alaskan Flight 261 down at sea

Was watching the news and talking to a friend when the news broke on the Alaskan crash. Got
off the phone and called my dad because, at that time, they were saying the crash was 20 miles
north of LAX, which would put this close to him. But he didn't answer and I had to leave a
message. In the meanwhile, two of my cats came up and sat on my and the energy in me, which has reduced, but has never left, made me feel sickish. I watched the crash coverage for quite awhile and then decided to come on to let folks know. I was able to check the lists and read the mail before my computer went absolutely wild. The screen began flashing, the hard drive running in bursts, Netscape vanished completely, then MSWorks and then the icons. I could nothing to stop any of this except to turn it off but because the hard drive was cranking away, I decided to wait for everything to stop...which it finally did except for a bell like sound yelling at me from the CPU. At which point, I turned off everything and almost had to run to the bathroom from that body pressure. While there, my dad called. We had talked earlier and he had been down at the Lifeguard Station when the crash occurred. Later, he realized he had seen the plane way up there making a contrail. Sucks, I forgot to ask if it was a normal one. Anyhow, he had taken a drive up the coast to see what he could and was praying for his BayWatch friends. They had sent three boats up and the night is now pitch black.

So, I am thinking something very powerful has been going through here today. It's kept me low
all day long and had been driving my ears nuts. They almost itch from the vibration or whatever
it is.

I, also, had forgotten to get my mail, so out I went and there were two of those contrails over my
head. Not that I am suggesting they had anything to do with this crash. But you never know.
Anyhow, the more they talk and find out, the more this is sounding like a TWA, JFK Jr. and
Egyptian flight crash to me. I've learned far more than I ever wanted to about the MD83 and the
Stabilizer, which is what the pilot has said he was having a problem with. But two other pilots
said the MD83 has a primary, a backup and a manual system for controlling the stabilizer and
should have been able to land without mishap. A Ranger on one of the islands says he saw the
plane crash. It was coming down upside down. A Ch. 9 helo pilot first on the scene said he
could see the plane under the water going down up side down. His shots were outstanding. He
got right on top of the debris and you could see sea gulls snatching up something from the water. There was loads of debris but comparing it to the size of the sea gulls, you could seen none was much larger. It was bunched in two broad areas and took the shape of a line...due to the pull of the ocean current no doubt. One guy said that because the deris was bunched and in a small area, the plane had hit fast and hard and probably nose first. But this would conflict from two eye witnesses. It was at 17,000 feet when it fell, dove or whatever.

In the meanwhile, I feel as if I have been through all of this before. It is all sounding the same.
Question is, man made or EQ connected?

Terrible thing in any case and I have prayed for the families, friends and those who now sit at
sea hoping for a surviver. So sad...
