HI Don, Thanks for the info. I posted a question for you on this the other night and then my password went in wrong and I lost all of it... I found it interesting that there has only been one aftershock. When quakes of this size occured a little west on the Calaveras or up north in the San Ramon Valley, you usually see quite swarm of micro quakes following the initial 4. NADA on this one. Also I wanted to ask you, is this in the same general area as the 1986 5.7 quake? That quake interests me because it gave the Bay Area quite a shake at the time. YET, nobody EVER references it since. Was it on an unknown fault? For a 5.7 to be on unknown fault you would think USGS would be more interested to know where this fault is, is it in the same area as this 4.4?
