It may depend on wht browser you use - I use Mozilla or Firefox - it has a setting to remember what pages have been visited - not keeping them in a cache, but that you've been to the site - (one line with URL versus caching the page) - it's in the preferences, History area.

In checking internet explorer - it also just saves the links - make it 30 days or something and you'll be fine (the history) - Mine is only 264Kb and it's set for 20 days.. you can get to it by choosing Tools, Internet Options in the browser.
