Re: For Ara--Earthquake Precursors

Hi Don & Ara,

I do think there are times when earthquakes can be predicted, yet are not predictable because all of the steps to provide a warning are blocked. Indonesia is a classic example. We have reports of a very learned scientist who knows the area like the back of his hand. He tries desperately to provide a warning to governments and either no one is home or no one is listening. It was a holiday and most senior officials were out of town. He then takes his case to the people to try and help, but it isn't nearly enough. Some people heard ear tones for this quake, but couldn't place where it came from, but the signal was there. Even animals in just tsunami areas headed for higher ground.

I do believe people have a destiny and if they are destined to leave this plane of existence via and earthquake, then go they will and no man can stop them. I am also a firm believer in the "Pruning Effect." This I believe occurs when the population of Earth reaches a point where we just have to many people here and disasters, plagues, starvation and war take then away in great numbers.

But it does not mean that everyone cannot be saved or that attempts to predict earthquakes should not be made. It's possible in the next few years that someone's destiny requires some person or persons to take the leap into earthquake prediction to save them. I hope that person, or persons accepts the challenge.

I already accepted two parts of my challenge. One to afford safety education to everyone for free and secondly to provide better safety standards in California. I'm still willing to continue the challenge of earthquake prediction, but I do accept that the challenge to do so may be more related to people than the earthquakes.
