Do not bother with other meanings of that phrase, because prior to that, John said that I was �gquibbling.�h So clearly he means that my reasoning is meaningless. Whether you or I think that phrase is insulting is not the point. John�fs list of seven insults included "your reasoning ... is meaningless", so the point is that according to his own understanding he has insulted me.

I already explained that there was no such implication. As a matter of fact, in John�fs last post (which is also by his own definition insulting, since he is attacking my clarity of thought) he misquoted me over and over. I used the plural, not the singular, and it is absolutely not possible that I was calling him or any other individual a pin head. The only implication is of a group, and as I said that was ambiguous. Anyone with a degree of clarity in their thought can see that.

I intended to stop, but John wrote another aggressive post challenging my clarity of thought, and misquoting me. So if there was any badgering, it was on John�fs part.

No, I only respond to ideas expressed in the posts. I do not care about the person who is making them (in fact, that is more proof that I am not making personal insults). So I am not going to �gshow him respect�h that he does not deserve by his responses to me. He seems, though, to be a person who feels insulted just because respect is not heaped upon him, regardless of his own affronting remarks.

I came in here because I am interested in earthquake precursors. Somehow, my discussion with John became fraught with misunderstanding on his part. As I said, I intend to stop posting, as soon as this discussion is over.
