Hi All, My little guess paid off. I see very near Watsonville they got another one of those little earthquakes. See post 2391 below. These have been popping up for about three months now, somethings telling me, we had better wake up and smell the coffee. Now on the scientific side of things. I sat in on a lecture at the AGU about the San Gregario Fault and according to the presenter, using the Coulomb Hypotheses the aftershock sequence from Loma Prieta is spreading outward and causing stress away from the Loma Prieta epicenter. Using this hypotheses, the presenter equivocates the percentage of chance at 25%, rather than the currently listed 10%. Therefore if one wants to look at the seismic gap theory, then it may well fit into that category if things continue to develop along the same lines. Should be interesting to watch. If the hypotheses is correct, the San Gregario Fault has as much chance of giving off a 7.0 as the Hayward, San Andreas and Rodgers Creek Faults. Pat
