I'll second what Roger said...but Roger is concise and I am not...so...Ring of Fire is vague but generally means subductions zones with earthquakes and volcanos that ring the Pacific...this was not very close to the Pacific and does not involve the Pacific Plate....but, loosely, is the same kind of thing....is related
