FFA and rupture area

Yes, I've seen no evidence of FFA, and the concept doesn't make sense either.

Regarding rupture areas - maps of aftershock distribution have been scarce, but I suspect the rupture areas DOES extend across the 1000 km aftershock area, and the early rupture models are just missing the later and northern part of the rupture, the ones I've seen are also low on moment. If areas hundreds of kms outside the rupture area lit up with aftershocks as brightly as the rupture area, it would be unprecedented. An intermediate answer might be that there was slip in the northern half of the rupture zone, but it was smaller.
