credibility is important

Credibility should be more important than being first. And, being first is irrelevant here...it was 22 or so hours after the quake. I have full cable now and can watch another all news station. If they (CNN) are too lame to intervue a geologist or seismologist, then why should I watch them? They are all showing the same footage. At least the Weather Channel does not pretend to be a news station. I'll let you (Petra) know if I see their explanation and whether or not I think it is correct. Don, yes, as soon as I heard it I tried to contact CNN, but could only send an email as they don't list a phone # on their web site, and could not get a real person wehn I found a number at yahoo yellow pages. I'd guess that John V. can not be bothered with this sort of thing, but this really bothers me when news channels just spout one error after another. And scientists wonder why 45% of Americans think the earth is less then 10,000 years and there is no evolution...its slippery slope towards ignorance, denying the holocaust, that we did not land on the moon......
