Chris, Roger & John - This One's For You |
Hi, Chris is always encouraging us to do a little more and to do some science from time to time, which I think is very good. So Don and I had another weekend of complaining because there seemed to be this weekend lull in quakes again, but this time I told him maybe we should do the work and find out if in fact there is any difference between one day of the week to another and if weekend days have fewer quakes than any other days of the week. We are covering the period of 1995 through 2004 because there were no major earthquakes during that time and the areas being covered, which is a 40 mile radius from the center of San Francisco Bay and the Los Angeles regional area. So guys, I know you've told us before that weekends are no different than weekdays, but we just have to know if that is so. We'll let you have the results when we are finished.
