I started all of this off-topic debate. I'm happy to leave Canie with the last word, which she just had, above. She is probably in a better mood this early afternoon than I am, given the results. In the future, if there is an issue where politics and science are mixed up, I may comment, but averaged over the last 3 years or so, my off-topic posts are not any more than most of the posters here. Roger...as you probably know, there have been some efforts a couple of years ago to get rid of the USGS...or, correct me if I am wrong.
