Yes they know going back to the early 1800s the history of the area, and there were no thrust events in this area during that time. However there was an unknown quake of sizeable magnitude in the LA area in 1855. Other than that the records are all for the 1812 events, 1857 and moving forward to the 1900s w/ Long Beach and quakes in the desert regions. Nothing in terms of a Thrust event in the San Ferndando Vally area.
