They dress better than I did as an undergrad. Lots of jeans and blue UCLA sweatshirts, but they're only depressed when they're listening to a lecture, generally they are unnervingly lively. I can certainly tell the girls from the boys, and that doesn't just apply to the football players and the gymnasts.
