Re: Earth Quake SE Atlanta GA |
I can understand posting info about the volcanos as not many keep their eyes on them, but to just post a quake when there are links off the home page as to where to get quake info is a bit redundant. Now if you want to post a quake and then follow up with some conversation about it that's a whole different ball game - for instance Bob sees a quake at the Geysers or Mendicino and it may be a 'marker' quake for him - or a foreshock. Or for those ridgecrest swarms - we don't need each one listed here - they can be found - put a link up - why have the same info posted all over the place - Yes, you could say "swarming in Ridgecrest" and a link to take a look - having a list of them here is meaningless. - Mostly because more than half of them were not really quakes anyway after being reviewed. I just don't want the board filled up with a bunch of stuff that can be found elsewhere. If you've felt the quake, by all means post it and how it felt to you - The whole point is, why post the fact that a quake occured if its on all the official lists and say nothing about it ? He could have listed the quake and said something like -" That's the third quake in the eastern region of the US in the last week and it make s me nervous" (i'm not nervous about it) - but he didn't.
