I'm hearing that mayor is ordering a vertical evacuation as I write this. However, do they not rent the rooms on the first 3 or 4 levels? Also, if you pay really close attention to SELECT media, all indications are this may even weaken to 120 MPH winds by tomorrow. Although the golf is still supplying a very warm fuel w/ water, apparently the air above is drive and upper atmosphere winds are also predicted to push at the storm and weaken it. BUT, do they tell everyone in New Orleans this? NO! The media is thriving on playing this one out.
