DH..What, I need a point? I was trying to follow the Dave Barry school of journalism by throwing out a lot of what appeared to be unrelated stuff and the trying to tie it together. You are correct that the assault weapon ban expiring did not have a lot to do with the rest, except I wrote that florida has been/will be "under the gun", and only then noticed the coincidence and went with the other thing that was bugging me yesterday. My second post did a pretty good job of tying together things that appear to be unrelated....global warming, landslides, and earthquakes. And, that post uses mainstream, accepted geology.
