Hi John. The stress shadow from the Loma Prieta quake was thought to have moved to the area of San Juan Bautista and was the most likely cause of the August 1998 M>5.4 quake there.

The quake was going to occur at a much later date, but the added stress made it occur earlier then it was going to. Somehow that doesn’t look right, but I’m not going to try and change it. Hope you understand what I’m trying to say. Take Care…Don in creepy town
