SPECIAL NOTE:
Big Donuts of the Northern Oceans
The recent movie, "The Day After Tomorrow", raised questions about gigantic storms in the Northern Hemisphere. Currently there are two donut (with hole) structures, one in the Gulf of Alaska, and the other south of Iceland and west of France. For comparison purposes all the Surface Sea Temperatures charts available this year are at:
http://www.osdpd.noaa.gov/PSB/EPS/SST/climo.html
To see the map for any day, just click on the date. Check local media for any resultant weather conditions.
Comments or questions are welcome.
