Hi All. The swarm off the coast of Northern California equals the swarm that occurred in Jan of 1966. Nothing very spectacular occurred during or after that swarm.

The current swarm however is occurring in an area that hasn’t had very many quakes in the past. Not quite a seismic gap, but close to it. The quakes are occurring in an area that is identified as a ridge. Past “moment tensor solution” shows quakes as being strike-slip. However that doesn’t mean that any of these quakes are strike-slip only that they are most likely are strike-slip. The majority of the quakes in 1966 are further north and to the west of this current swarm. Take Care…Don in creepy town
