Unfortunately, there is always a chance of an earthquake occurring. You may be apprehansive right now because of the recent 6.3 near your city. You can do things to prepare for them. I would make sure I live in a building that has been successful in not coming down in prior quakes. Know what to do in an earthquake - don't run, but get under something that is strong and could withstand building materials coming down on it - cover your head. Stock up on water and some food for emergencies - have an earthquake kit - radio, flashlight, maybe a shovel...
