About thirteen years ago, Marco and I rented two tapes, 'The Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" for the boys, and James Joyce's "The Dead" for us. The boys went upstairs into our room to watch the Killer Tomatoes do their squishy red thing.

Marco had a nice dinner until Kevin, then about nine, came down in tears. My first thought was that the movie was too scary for him. But it wasn't that.

He and Christopher had watched the entire film, "The Dead," all the while waiting for the Killer Tomatoes to arrive and wipe out the entire dinner party.

We still laugh about it.
