The double posting in this case was caused by me hitting send and then stopping the page as I thought I wanted to make a change. However, it was too late, and when I hit send again, the second message showed up.

I wonder if this is similar to Cal's problem when she was making triple posts?

Just the nature of the medium of a web based forum I guess. On usenet or email, hitting cancel in the middle of the transfer usually stops it from going through.
