Hi All,

Well its time to head for my home away from home in Parkfield for Memorial Day Weekend, but its always more fun when others go too. Is there anyone out there who has a desire to visit the Earthquake Capital of the World, eat fabulous food and hang out where there is almost nothing to do except look at some awesome faults, collect rocks and earthquake stories?

Rooms at the Parkfield Inn are going fast, I know for sure two of them are already booked and with on 6 rooms in the Inn, now's the time to put in those reservations. Of course, there is another place in San Miguel near the freeway and it has TV, which Parkfield does not. The rooms at the Parkfield Inn are almost cheap, but the decor is perfect.

And as an aside, a trip to San Miguel to see Mission San Miguel before it is no longer is also something that one should do. I am very much looking forward to seeing the damage from the San Simeon earthquake, as Don told us its fairly substantial.

So how about it little cowboys and cowgirls? I'm sorry to say the chances of feeling an earthquake while there are next to none as I'll be in town. They've never had one when I was there....ah shucks.
