80 columns for the text entry box looks fine on the monitor I presently use. I checked that width with another older computer and it was still too wide. 72 would fit. But if everyone else feels that 80 is a good width then it would have my vote. I know that each person’s browser determines how the text looks when it prints. The problem was that the previous text entry box was a little narrow for entering lengthy URLs. With some of the notes that I post there are several addresses. So the regular URL entry field would not be adequate. At times people also want to include a lengthy “picture” address somewhere in the message text.
