For the past few weeks I have been focusing on putting together an earthquake forecasting research proposal for this one international group. I suspect that getting them to act on it might represent about the only hope that most people around the world would have of receiving an earthquake warning before a destructive one occurs near them.

I did the best that I could last Novemeber and December to circulate warnings for a destructive earthquake. But when that one in Iran occurred in late December, the Iran government was apparently still not prepared for it.
