Chris, there's a problem |
I've been trying to evaluate Shan's predictions and the results are turning out very significant. I did a plot of number of quakes per 1/10 unit of mag. and found that the databases are not linear )(semi-log plot) but change slope around 4.5. This causes small quakes to be underestimated. And this is true of both NEIC and CNSS which is odd because CNSS has manymore small CA events listed.
