I don't know if this idea would prove useful to you, but I'll pass it along. Why not contract with a grant writer? Some years ago a man who was a grant writer for our university would contract with independants at a rate of 10% of the grant. Obviously if he wrote grants for the university for over 20 years, he was quite successful. The benefit of course is that for some, (not necessarily you) doing certain aspects of a job are better left to those who excel at doing them, or actually like doing those tasks.
