Sometimes news reporters do get it right and our Bay Area Channel 2 KTVU I think did a splendid job in their 15 minutes they alloted for today's quake. They offered live feed from the site, interviewed Ross Stein and Bill Ellsworth from the USGS who provided some much needed information and said "scientists believe the epicenter of the quake was at Lake Naciemento" (sp). Then they explained unreinforced masonry buildings of which the Bay Area has approximately 25,000 and lastly they reminded their viewers to visit their earthquake preparedness site.

This station is an award winner frequently for content and is one of the few stations in the Bay Area where their people retire from their jobs.
