Re: Earthquake forecasting conference |
Hi EQF, I'm sorry, I think I didn't understand what you were saying when you posted this: "in a few weeks there is going to be a conference where earthquake research and other topics will be discussed. I myself am preparing a presentation covering a number of topics including some information regarding the “Ear Tones” that many people around the world hear." I'm not sure who is going to present the material on your behalf, but if I could not understand the language spoken and be quite certain what I said was not delivered in the way I intended it to be said, it would not be part of anyone's presentation. It isn't always a matter of trust, though that surely is high on the list, but when one translates information from one language to another, some things totally get lost in the translation, or may mean something different to someone else. I hope for the sake of your work you are not compromising what you have been working on either in content or perhaps someone borrowing your material to use as thier own. As you know ear tone research is still in its infancy. Some would prefer to consider it laughable, or highly impossible, or improbable. This can be one touchy subject if not delivered correctly. Actually unless the conference is written up in a journal, papered or otherwise so noted, it is as good as not happening. All science conferences are a matter of public record, even when they occur in foreign countries. Hopefully, you'll have something to report which can be referenced.
