Petra, the science of forecasting earthquakes can probably be divided into two parts. One has to do with the technology involved with forecasting them. The other has to do with political issues. When should we evacuate a city? Who will make that type of decision etc.? Communications between earthquake researchers around the world are now sufficiently well established that I have more than enough technical projects to keep me busy. And I don’t have any time to argue about politics. I posted a series of reports here regarding my views on earthquake politics not too long ago and stated that I thought that I had pretty well covered things. You are going to have to debate this subject matter with someone else. I don’t have time.
