Another consideration, did the person making the prediction understand the geology of the region? Maybe if he had been able to consult with the earthquake scientists, he might have pinpointed his location better.

We had a person who used to contribute to this board who used the same methodology as the astronomer to predict quakes - he was harrassed to the point he quit posting - but prior to that, he did quite well at predicting quakes - maybe not 100%, but more like 85%.... The method has potential.

Its such a shame that these methods are ignored when they could have some value.... what if the data were combined with stress analysis, ULF, and other methods - rather than everyone working in their own corner, if they all worked together, they might find something that could work.
