Hi Roger. EQF can do all of that with the current ring map. Right after the Hokkaido quake I ran a check on the Dominican quake. The Hokkaido quake appears to be in the middle of the 102-106 degree ring. The Russia quake appears to be just outside the same ring. While it is possible to see where the next quakes can occur with the ring map it doesn’t tell you where it will occur. Those rings cover a lot of territory so it’s not possible to pin the exact location down. According to Lowell past experience has shown that large quakes in the following areas can have an affect on the San Francisco Bay Area. Aru Islands (western most New Guinea) Halmahera Molucca Mindanao Nepal Hindu Kush Turkmenistan Caspian Sea Cyprus Central Atlantic Ridge Southern New Zealand (tip of South Island) The reason quakes in these areas are suspected of having an affect on the Bay Area and most of California for that matter is that the 102-106 degree ring broadsides most of the faults. However you still have to know how much stress there is and how close it is to breaking. Take Care…Don in creepy town
