Hi EQF. That is already being done by a lot of ISPs. One of them is called “Postini.” It blocks spam and viruses and puts them in a holding box for you. You can open and view them there without the virus getting into your computer. However I never view them as the virus program may be sophisticated enough that it could bypass the filter.
