Hi Donald. I rather doubt it. There are many other factors to be considered. The Mars alignment in terms of gravity doesn’t equal all of the planets combined and the last alignment of them didn’t cause a noticeable increase in quakes. As you can see at the link there have been 82 quakes in the M>6.0+ range this year. It is going to have to hurry to catch some high years such as 1995 in which there were 185.
