Re: Earth and Sun Digest 2003/07/17 MARS LOOMS |
Canie This is a direct quote from the August 2003 issue of Astronomy, p.66, second column, second paragraph: "By late evening, Mars dominates the sky. It begins the month less than 3 degrees north of 3rd -magnitude (star) Delta Aquarii. Slowly at first, Mars moves westward against the background stars of Aquarius. Its normal easterly motion gets reversed near opposition as the faster-moving Earth overtakes it..." The whole magazine is devoted to Mars, and that is under THE SKY THIS MONTH. Why should I doubt this authoritative magazine? Even the graphics show Mars in Aquarius, p.63. How old is your EPHEMERIS?
