Hi Canie. Dr. Derr has pointed out to me that "earthquake lights" have been seen before and during quakes. There have also been a couple of occasions where lights were seen in one location and the quakes would occur along the same fault, but at considerable distance from where the lights were seen. This occurred in Australia.

He also feels the lights seem to be more associated with hydraulics as opposed to rock types. However more research needs to be done. Take Care…Don in creepy town
