As I recall, the proton events actually supress earthquake activity.

We got the rain down here today - I think the worst is over now near the coast though. And I think the landslides more likely than any quakes generated from all this. I think this was the most rain coming down at once (rate) that I've seen here in a very long time. At least it saves me from having to water the lawn.
