Hey All. Congrats. Darn beaten out again. Oh well. Can’t win them all. The quake in the Hydesville area was a little deeper then the average quake for California, but was at a depth that is consistent to that area. There doesn’t appear to have been any foreshocks to this and as with past quakes in this area it doesn’t look there will be any aftershocks, or if there are any they will be few in number. The “moment tensor solution” shows this quake to be a strike slip with normal faulting component. In other words a right lateral motion with a down dip motion other wise known as an “oblique –slip fault. Take Care…Don in creepy town
